The Job

As  b:electronic our mission is to provide the best distribution services for independent labels and artists with passion, innovation, care, and transparency. b:electronic is a global distribution partner specialising in electronic music for independent labels and artists powered by Believe.

As the Business Development & Label Manager E. Europe for b:electronic you will define and implement the sourcing and acquisitions strategy for labels & artists for our dedicated electronic division. Utilising your network, market analysis, business, label, and artist relations, you will be able to source and identify labels & artists who would benefit from joining our electronic division. Carrying out first discussions with labels and artists and their management, you will be able to identify their needs and share the perfect offer with local heads of distribution and the local senior label manager. You will participate in the contract negotiation with the local team.

In addition, you will be responsible for the day to day management of those signed artists and labels, delivering high-level strategic support and advice, working within the international b:electronic team and organisation, reporting directly to the MD for E. Europe and dotted line reports to Global Director and Global Business Development Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify key labels & artists in E. Europe as potential signings:

· Contribute to company growth by sourcing label & artist leads for the b:electronic roster in E. Europe.

· Audit and identify emerging artists market trends.

· Monitor Believe analytics and public tool analytics for talent detection.

· Carrying out first discussions with the artists and their management to pitch our services and follow up through to deal negotiations.

· Identify the artists’ needs and build the perfect services offer in coordination with your Head of Sales

 

2. Qualify label & artist potential, tailor offer to services expectations:

· Assess label & artists potential, estimate deal value, and collect information to manage the sales pipeline.

· Build knowledge of company’s different types of deals to cater to label & artist needs.

· Manage and update company’s CRM system daily.

· Present opportunities to your local & central b:electronic team and coordinate with Head of Sales to validate deal offers.

· Carry out meetings with prospective clients to pitch our services and follow up through negotiations until signing, working with the local team.

 

3. Identify Market Trends and market dynamics and report to management:

· Audit and identify emerging label & artists market trends.

· Inform internal team about market evolution.

· Build strong relationships with labels, artists, management, and the local industry (music lawyers etc.).

 

4. Label & Artist account management; Qualify Artists services expectations, career projects and release plans:

· Manage the portfolio of your signed artists and labels with a focus on global campaign strategies.

· Support artists and labels in custom-made release strategies, coordinate the project with Editorial Promotion departments.

· Carry the strategy for artist new releases and back catalogue across all platforms increasing visibility, fan engagement, content streaming and sales

Qualifications

· 3 to 5+ years of proven track record in the recorded music industry and experience in negotiation.

· A solid network in the music industry, especially in Electronic Music.

· Label & artist focused and passionate about the Independent Music Industry with a good knowledge of the independent ecosystem and digital landscape.

· Ability to be both creative and data driven.

· Proactive attitude to work to deadlines, meet targets and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

· Extremely digital savvy and quick to adopt trends.

Head of Finance Project Manager (M/W)

The Job

You will be part of the Finance integration department which is positioned as the business partner of our subsidiaries to secure the global business model build up throughout the integration phase and ensure a smooth integration of their financial processes. The scope of the position covers Believe Group all acquired subsidiaries to be integrated in Believe core model and entity creations.

You bring Project Mgt expertise over the overall Finance Integration process, and in the coordination & restitution of the Integration team activities. Lean and agile process keeper and builder to adapt to the new business models encountered but also be in charge of the transverse coordination of the COEs, and external supports.

KEY MISSIONS:

Drive the integration program for the Finance function through:

  • The set up of an integration plan for the acquired entities, including all the process aspects, tools, and governance,
  • The implementation, coordination and lead of this plan to ensure realization in proper qualitative standards.

Maintain and improve Group Legal Entity Creation Manual, leading to a standardized, agile and lean approach for the upcoming development of the Company.

Drive the subsidiary’s creation program through:

  • The set up of entity creations plan, including all the process aspects, tools, and governance,
  • The implementation, coordination and lead of this plan to ensure realization in proper qualitative standards.

Throughout the Integration process :

We are looking for a manager in our GL DPT that could take the  supervision and the coordination of the GL team, (3 people senior) reporting to the head of the accounting of the company and oversee the operations and the closing, as well as the fiscal declarations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Supervising and providing overall guidance to the accounting team, enhancing processes, tools, control systems, audit trial and justification documentation.
  • Providing regular updates to management for evolution and improvements.
  • Overseeing the month-end closure process to deliver reliable, timely and compliant accounts.
  • Overseeing the preparation of annual financial statements to file timely to local regulators, ensuring that the company maintains compliance with group guidelines and Lux legislation.
  • Overseeing the preparation and timely filings of all local tax returns. Accurately assuring the VAT declaration and tax returns in time and ensuring that taxes are paid in a timely manner and
  • Is responsible for managing the General ledger, accounting for property, plant and equipment (PPE), intangible assets.
  • Performing reconciliations of the Inter-company, accruals, GL accounts.
  • Assisting and improving, monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Collaborating and giving advice, based on LUX compliance, about extraordinary operation, M&A, merger etc.

 

Liaising with other department to maintain a performing collaboration level and efficient communication.

Qualifications

Some years of relevant experience in a senior supervisory position in a large international, commercial group, or in a big four, in areas of financial accounting, experience working with ERP. (SAGE would be a plus). Provent knowledge of LUX and IFRS GAAP, as well as fiscal Lux requirements.

Excellent command of written and spoken French and English.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.

The ability to process large amounts of numerical data.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SAGE, PBI will be a great advantage.

The Job

Salary range: $50-70k

The tasks and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Communication & Scheduling

  • Schedule – Manage complex and ever-changing day-to-day schedules of the C-suite via Microsoft Outlook, scheduling and organizing meetings across multiple time zones.
  • Calendar – Schedules meetings and ensures that all preparations are made prior to the meeting time. Book conference rooms, confirm all necessary participants, request and add relevant materials / documents to invites, arrange video call instructions, register visitors, order food (if necessary) and have all materials printed and ready for all participating parties.
  • Meetings- Prepare for meetings and appointments by confirming necessary materials / agendas, preparing conference rooms and working directly with IT on audio/visual needs
  • Email Correspondence – Correspond with TuneCore and Believe leadership as well as internal and external partners (candidates, vendors, etc.,) on behalf of the Chief Financial and Strategy Officer (CFSO)
  • Confidential Information – Handle confidential information meticulously; escalate any required information with discretion, ensure proper and timely follow up on all agenda items

Travel

  • Travel – Book and prepare comprehensive travel arrangements (for complex international and domestic itineraries) for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), and CFSO as needed (flights, hotels, visas, car service, reservations, meeting agendas, etc.).

Department Support

  • Establish and nourish relationships at very senior levels of Believe maintaining a professional demeanor and ease of access to top executives
  • Partner with TuneCore Executive Assistant, Believe Executive Assistants and TuneCore department leaders to align calendars
  • Additional ad-hoc departmental and company projects

Financial Management

  • Oversee CFSO and departmental expenses submitting all necessary T&E in Expensify in a timely manner
  • Reconciling and processing invoices for travel

 

Qualifications

  • At least 2+ years Executive Assistant experience

  • Experience supporting C-level executives at medium or small companies

  • Experience booking both domestic and international travel for senior-level executives with complex travel schedules (flights, ground transportation, and hotel logistics)

  • High emotional intelligence; ability to work across different teams, businesses, and personalities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team

  • Significant experience working in Microsoft Outlook required

Digital Content Creator

The Job

The Content Creator’s role will focus on all of the digital content creative aspects an artist and product release – balancing both creative and commercial objectives through the setting and achieving of campaign-specific objectives & results. The ideal candidate will create and execute content, primarily for social media platforms, and be part of strategic conversations around creative, tech and innovation.

Working closely with artists, artist management, colleagues in Marketing and Digital Marketing, as well as key external partners – i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify etc in order to gain maximum exposure for artists, build fan bases and deliver on album release and touring strategies.

Main Duties:

  • Creating innovative content and proposing original commissions
  • Oversee management of all content creative and content strategy (including updates, design, briefing and user experience) to help drive fan audience growth and ongoing engagement across platforms using insights, best practices and tapping into content trends
  • Identifying emerging content, tech and social trends and infuse artist campaigns with creative applications of new technology
  • Determining and applying correct branding for each artist, using agreed artist vision brief, and being adaptable to different genres and audiences
  • Abide by the budgets in respect to the promotions activated for Artist Services Campaigns
  • The Content Creator will be part of a small dynamic team in the London office, working in tandem with the Digital Marketing team and the Marketing Project team.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in the music sector preferred
  • Experience with Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro or FCPX essential
  • Experience with social media platforms and mobile apps essential
  • Experience with HTML and coding preferred, but not essential
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with many different departments / personalities
  • Thrives in a team environment
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Tech-savvy
