The Job

1. Report to regional GM, The Taiwan distribution team management :

-Define objectives and missions and assess performance

-Organize the team missions accordingly to sales strategy

-Organize team meetings and build team cohesion

 

2. Lead the Taiwan distribution team to develop potential Label/Artist :

-Sourcing the potential customer in Taiwan market

-Evaluate and establish contacts with potential independent labels/artists

-Negotiate with customers and propose the best package

-Analyze and track sales performance and other related business processes

 

3. Lead the account manager to implement distribution services for Labels/Artists

-Manage content for labels/artists and optimize content performance on the platform

-Coordinate with regional and global EMP Marketing teams to obtain the best platform resources for customers

-Listen and understand the real needs of customers with a quick response, constantly improve service quality

A&R manager

The Job

As an A&R manager, part of our Artist services team, your mission is to source, attract and sign new partners (artists and labels) in a constantly mutating environment.

You will work within our Artist services team in charge of selling distribution & marketing partnerships to a network of indie artists with passion, innovation, care, and transparency.

 

Your duties will include but not limited to the following

  • Identify new talents and build a pipeline of new artists.
  • Pitch Believe AS services and build individual offers.
  • Lead meetings with artists & management, calculate budgets and advocate offers before head office, negotiate best conditions resulting in win-win deals.
  • Negotiate and signs deals with artists in collaboration with the Head of A&R.
  •  Build contracts, control signings & advance payments.
  • Monitor & update pipeline, analyse performances and provide reports.
  • Follow market trends, analyse and build competitive offers for our partners.

Qualifications

  • Fluent English is mandatory to succeed in your role as part of a global company. French can be a plus
  • You have a passion for music and a first experience in the music industry
  • You have the ability to work across a broad roster of artists
  • You have a good understanding of data analysis and an experience in managing budgets
  • You have proven communication skills and pay attention to details

As General Manager, you will be responsible to develop each of them and to ensure Believe best serves artists and labels in your region. The local team will be in direct reporting to you. As Believe executes on a centralized model adapted to each country / region, the local business heads also report into regional functions for each business line.

 

You will be solid reporting to the Greater China MD.

Responsibilities:​

1 – People

 

You will be tasked to build, manage and develop the best trained team of sales & marketing managers in the local music industry.

 

 

Developing a business partner relationship with the local business heads who is responsible for all local operations (including back end, retail, sales & marketing operations, support functions and M&A) will be key to your success.

 

 

2 – Strategy

 

You will be tasked to build the sales & marketing strategy in partnership with Greater China team and the global head of each business line.

 

 

3 – Execution

 

You will be responsible to adapt and execute Believe’s global strategy in your market for each business line. As such, you will have primary responsibility for artist and label satisfaction, for the P&L of each business line and for your region global P&L.

 

 

4 – Measurement

 

You will be responsible to deploy local performance measurement in accordance with Greater China and global guidelines for sales and marketing

 

Qualifications

  • As a General Manager you must have management skills and you are client service-focused.
  • Must have developed very senior relationships in the music eco-system to drive business opportunities (artist and label signings, media opportunities…) placing the Believe values at the core of those relationships. 
  • Be a strong team player to become a true business partner to the Greater China MD and develop together a strategic vision of the market across all business lines and align execution to strategy.  
  • Excellent at hiring and at developing his/her direct reports and team: the head of artist & label distribution, the head of artist services.  
  • Highly engaged with a strong customer (artist & label driven) mindset.
