Business intelligence sales performance manager

The Job

As Business Intelligence & Sales Performance Manager of the BI & Sales Performance team, your mission is generate strategic insights through social, digital and consumer research tools as well as internal transactional data, creating dashboards, data analytic tools and any other tool that can provide creative solutions to internal daily challenges. Also, you will be an important part of the development and instillment of an analytical and data driven culture in the region. 

You will work a lot in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams – regional and Central. 

Your duties will include but not limited to the following 

  • Explore and extract data available from the APIs of the main DSPs in order to provide relevant information that can create insights for the sales teams and main decision makers (collaboration on the ideation and creation of dashboards and other tools). 

  • Become an in-house expert across all available data sources and help to empower others to make informed decisions based on carefully researched positions (data-driven culture implementation). 

  • Develop creative solutions to fill the internal regional GAPS in analysis and information – mainly using Power BI dashboards. 

  • Identify improvement areas and possible automation in existing tools and dashboards, creating a greater efficiency, productivity, and accuracy. 

  • Identify, analyze, and share market trends and market behavior analysis – Focused on Spanish-Speaking markets. 

  • Act on regional projects and projects in collaboration with the Central. 

  • Advocates for business intelligence solutions that help the organization meet its goals and nurture a data-minded culture inside the company. 

  • Provide support and analytical guidance to the Spanish-speaking regional teams. 

  • Develop ad-hoc Business analysis, and projects as assigned (using statistical models, predictive analytical models, etc.) 

  • Support the Budget process. 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience on Business Intelligence or Data Analysis functions 

  • Fluent English is mandatory to succeed in your role as part of a global company. 

  • Native / fluent Spanish is mandatory 

  • You are a dynamic and proactive worker, with a strong capacity for analysis and synthesis of needs and can’t stop being solution oriented

  • Strong analytical abilities and analytical skills 

  • Domain of a data visualization tool (Power Bi, Tableau, etc) 

  • Domain of using SQL and BI tools to deliver insight on very large or complex datasets 

  • Ability to utilize programming languages (Python, R) including usage of applicable libraries 

  • Experience on extracting and manipulating data from API’s  

  • Experience with statistical analysis, application and concepts like predictive analysis and data mining 

  • Advanced user of Microsoft products with heavy emphasis on Excel 

  • AI knowledge can be a plus 

  • Previous knowledge of the music market can be a plus

General Manager Mexico

The Job

As a General Manager, your mission is to oversee local strategies set by the Regional Managing Director, liaising with company headquarters. You will be reporting to the Regional Managing Director (from now on MD) and responsible for the efficiency of the business in a constantly mutating environment.  

You will support the management of a team currently composed of people in the following functions: Digital Distribution, Artist Services Distribution, Marketing and Communications, people passionate with music in charge of delivering the best marketing services with passion, innovation, care, and transparency.  

Your duties will include but not limited to the following

Develop the Believe Mexico activity in order to position Believe as a key leader in the Mexican music industry. 

  • Develop senior leadership within the current organization and participate in its completion if necessary  

  • Recommend the proper organization to best sign, sell and serve 

  • Set and drive OKR management with business heads 

Build and execute the A&R and service strategy for artist and label services and distribution 

  • Lead the development of Believe Mexico within Believe Group organization, from a business, service and financial standpoint 

  • Build A&R strategy (music genre, type of deal, services, pricing, economics…) 

  • Build P&L aligned with sales strategy and manage to budget 

  • Further build the artist service brand and identity 

  • Identify and develop more genres to be developed if any 

  • Recommend to Believe’s central M&A team M&A opportunity to accelerate our growth 

Execute the “sell and serve” strategy for Artist development and our distribution strategy. As such, you will have primary responsibility the Mexican global P&L of the business. Believe executes on a centralized model adapted to local specificities. 

  • Align execution with sales and marketing strategy with your local heads of business 

  • Inspire Believe’s marketing teams on the development and execution of creative, innovative and impactful campaigns 

  • Organize team work locally and with central to optimize the A&R strategy and our “sell and serve” efficiency 

  • Organize internal, external communication & branding to support and develop business 

Create and deploy performance measurement for the business. 

  • Set and drive objectives with the local teams and central functions  

  • Develop, measure KPIs and report KPIs to drive the business forward 

  • Build budget and forecast and achieve them

The Job

  • TuneCore’s Artist and Partner Relations team works with our VIP artist community, DSP partners and internal teams to provide a best-in-class digital distribution experience. TuneCore is looking for a Sr. Manager, Artist and Partner Relations, to join our team, help drive the company’s client experience strategy with creativity and innovation at the forefront of the role. As the Sr. Manager of Artist and Partner Relations, you’ll drive our small team of managers to provide best-in-class services. You’ll also work cross-functionally with several teams across the business to ensure TuneCore delivers the best product experience on the market by acting as the voice of our clients during product development, and throughout the year with monthly reports. You’ll also be responsible for reviewing and executing staffing plans throughout each year to support our rapidly growing (and global) client base. TuneCore’s Artist and Partner Relations team sits all over the country, with team members in Austin, Nashville and Brooklyn. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be a seasoned music professional with demonstrated experience managing/leading teams, and a deep knowledge of operational best practices and performance management. You’re a strategic thinker who can solve both the immediate problem in front of you as well as the overarching issue at hand. And finally, you’re someone who knows when to simply roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done.

Specific Duties:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Artist and Partner Relations team, lead and prioritize workload, and handle client escalations when necessary.
  • Directly oversee a team of managers.
  • Direct hiring and on-boarding of new team members, develop and retain diverse talent that makes a strong, positive impact on the organization. Identify team member strengths, regularly share performance feedback, and assist with their professional development.

  • Partner with Artist Support & Artist + Partner Relations; Content Review teams to optimize processes and resolve client issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Evaluate, meet and exceed the team’s KPIs.
  • Identify, alongside Believe Distribution Services, cross-stream opportunities for new and existing clients.
  • Continuously evaluate resource needs and recommend solutions through regular reporting to management on challenges, questions, and opportunities facing the Artist and Partner Relations team.
  • Represent TuneCore to the music community attending conferences, events, and showcases, partnering with the Marketing teams to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Engage with music communities both on and off-line extolling the benefits of TuneCore.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 7+ years experience working in the music industry preferably in distribution, artist management, or independent labels.
  • Excellent communications skills: written, verbal and interpersonal.
  • Must be an enthusiastic self starter with the ability to develop scalable new client acquisition programs and opportunities.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to lead a team as well as solve problems creatively and quickly.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under shifting deadlines.
  • Team player and comfortable working cross-functionally across varying levels.
  • Demonstrate thoroughness, follow-up, and attention to detail.
  • Have strong contacts and experience in the music industry.

Education:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Knowledge/Certifications:
  • Expert in digital distribution and the digital music space, and common issues facing music professionals.
  • Knowledge and experience in social media
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and a track record of successful planning and execution.
  • Proactive, energetic attitude with a desire to work in as results-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of music metadata preferred.

● Experience with Jira, Asana, customer relationship
