A&R Manager Associate

The Job

As an A&R manager associate, part of our Artist services team, your mission is to help A&Rs to identify,source, communicate, and go through internal process, in order to sign new artists in a constantly mutating environment.

You will work within our Artist services team in charge of selling distribution & marketing partnerships to a network of indie artists with passion, innovation, care, and transparency.

 

Your duties will include but not limited to the following

·       Identify new talents and build a pipeline of new artists.

·       Pitch Believe AS services and build individual offers with A&Rs.

·       Negotiate and signs deals with artists in collaboration with A&Rs.

·       Help A&R managers to build contracts, prepare all documents, control signings & advance payments.

·       Monitor & update pipeline, analyze performances and provide reports.

·       Communicate with central about the best practice of internal process to speed up.

Qualifications

–        Fluent English is mandatory to succeed in your role as part of a global company.

–        You have a passion for music and a first experience in the music industry

–        You have the ability to work across a broad roster of artists

–        You have a good skill of data analysis and Microsoft Office tools

DSP Marketing & PR Manager

The Job

As an EMP leader and reporting to Head of Service, part of our EMP team, your mission is to lead our relationships with our partners and guarantee quality of our front-line marketing initiative for our extensive catalogue. You will lead Trade Marketing activities for our Artist Services and Distribution departments with the promotion, process and coordination of artists and labels, with passion, innovation, care, and transparency.

You will manage the local EMP team and relationships with Digital platforms.

 

Your duties will include but not limited to the following

  • Leading and developing a team of EMP managers
    • With exemplarity and by sharing Believe’s driving forces in your daily relations and activities
    • Set guidelines, strategy, and objectives to improve and assess the team’s performance
    • Support your team by identifying improvement needs and providing appropriate training, mentoring, and coaching
  • Strategy lead
    • Conceive & implement internal communication process with Distribution and AS teams: educate & align our teams on digital best practices, the local streaming market, its trends & ecosystem
    • Supervise our artists streaming strategies and explore new ways to expand our catalogue’s visibility on DSPs
    • Maintain, within the local Trade Marketing team, a deep expertise on playlisting and artists promotion strategies on digital platforms
    • Report the Trade Marketing team results via performance analysis and KPIs overview
  • Promotion of companies brand awareness and our artists and labels
    • Develop and maintain close relationship with local contacts at digital platforms in Greater China
    • Supervise our artists’ presentation & pitch to DSPs in listening sessions & meetings in order to develop their streams and revenues on digital platforms
    • Overview Trade Marketing local activities, from negotiation to creation and execution of innovative & creative marketing partnerships with digital platforms
    • Promote locally key International releases, in coordination with central Trade Marketing team
    • Integrate local digital platform for artist promotion related event activities and promotional collaborations
    • Handling the important information releases at the company level and maintaining updates on the company’s local social media accounts

Qualifications

  • Base on Beijing, Fluent Chinese and English is mandatory to succeed in your role as part of a global company.
  • You have a deep knowledge of the current music market landscape and trends, a solid network in the music industry is a plus
  • You have a proven track record in EMP and a strong interest in digital technologies and digital marketing opportunities
  • An experience in people management

The Job

1 As the owner of artist music promotion being assigned, the candidate is expected with expertise and experience in artist music promotion from strategy, creative, campaign planning to execution.

2 Grow the artists music streaming performance on TME/NCM/Qishui, etc.by skillfully utilizing the current methods and proactively developing new channels of music marketing.

3 Establish& enhance the artist music positive influence by leveraging music critics/influencers/media/s/cross-over activities/industry awards/creative campaigns etc.

4 Excellent communication & project management skills to implement the marketing activities with internal & external teams smoothly and effectively.

5 Be data-savvy. Monitor and analyze on marketing campaign effectiveness and provide in-depth campaign analysis and review report.

6 Resourceful in music marketing partners/media/vendors/influencers, etc, and be good at building and maintaining good cooperation relationship.

7 Proactively look for and try new opportunities with reflective insights to help artists of different stages develop in their music careers.

8 Assist in corporate social media operation and content generation. 

Qualifications

1 Native Chinese Speaker, Fluent English speaking and writing skills.

2 Related working experience: 2 years+ (the candidate is supposed to have successful showcases as the owner)

3 Be self-motivated, organized, and open-minded

4 Have good teamwork spirit and long-term vision

5 Love music. If you are very in Hiphop music/culture, it’s a plus.

The Job

1.The Artist distribution team management :

-Define objectives and missions and assess performance

-Organize the team missions accordingly to sales strategy

2.Lead the Artist distribution team to develop potential Artist :

-Sourcing the potential customers in China market

-Evaluate and establish contacts with potential independent artists

-Negotiate with customers and propose the best package

3. Work with LASD and associate with account manager to implement distribution services for Artists

-Manage content for artists and optimize content performance on the platform

-Coordinate with EMP Marketing teams to obtain the best platform resources for customers
