The Job

Your mission

As a Head of Business intelligence & Sales ops for Greater China, your mission is to develop and instill an analytical and data driven culture in the region. You will work on continuous improvement of the local sales & data operations through guidance of commercial teams in the use of dashboards, data analytic tools and financial analysis, and any other tools that can provide creative solutions to their daily challenges. Meanwhile, you will be responsible for the central sales guideline’s implementation and new product launch locally. The Job

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic qualified lawyer with experience and passion for music law to work in the legal & business affairs department of our Shanghai office. 
You will report directly to the General manager based in Mainland China and in dotted line to the Chief Legal Office of Believe based in Europe (France). You will also work closely with all teams within the business based in Mainland China and with the Central Legal Department located in France.
The Role
Primarily handling  label and artists signings for our distribution / artist services departments, you will ensure that the Believe Group processes, contract templates and business rules are applied throughout negotiations and completion of deals. You will  provide consistent legal support to the admin and sales teams to ensure we sign contracts as efficiently as possible.   
In practical terms, your tasks and responsibilities are to: 
•    review, negotiate and complete contracts under the supervision and guidance of the Central Legal Department;  
•    implement the guidelines, processes and policies set up by the Believe Group, as adapted where applicable to comply with the laws of jurisdiction of England and Wales and the law and jurisdiction of Hong Kong. of England & Wales (or the law and jurisdiction of Hong Kong);   
•    deal with a wide range of music industry related agreements including; synchronisation licences, compilation licences, broadcast agreements, marketing services, brand partnerships and live performances;  
•    assist on litigation matters, reporting to our head of litigation in Paris and with external lawyers where necessary; 
•    Liaise with Headquarter Legal department (based in France) through a detailed reporting, in order to seek approval and ensure all relevant information is shared ;
•    Liaise with other departments of the group and train as necessary to ensure templates are well understood and implemented ; 
•    Participate as required to elaboration of template & establishment of process at local or group level;  
•    assist with general corporate, compliance, and business matters in the UK Greater China   where legal input is required.
Legal monitoring on local laws, in particular in the field technology applied to intellectual property.

Qualifications

  •  A minimum of 2 years Post Qualified Experience as a lawyer in the music business sector either in-house or in private practice.  
  • Strong knowledge of intellectual property laws in mainland China and EU GDPR related jurisprudence and regulations  
  • Team player, with excellent inter-personal skills that enable you to communicate efficiently at different levels of the Believe Group in Mainland China and abroad. You are friendly, cooperative and willing to assist with all day-to-day queries that arise.

The Job

As Head of Marketing, you must build a smart, forward thinking marketing team in Greater China.

 

As a Head of Marketing, you should be able to craft very complex, long-running, innovative, multi territory creative campaigns. The ideal candidate to have a ROI-driven approach who understands the artist development, can build a long-term strategy in close partnership with the Sales team. This position would be responsible for building Top charting artists in the country.

Responsibilities:​

1 – People

You will be tasked to build, manage and develop the best-trained team of Marketing (Editorial & Marketing Partnership, Digital marketing, social media, media-buy, etc.) managers in the local music industry.

As such, you will have primary responsibility for artist creative and marketing satisfaction and help drive effective sales and long-term engagement with artist /artist agencies.

 

  • Lead and oversee the creation, development, and execution of marketing strategies, ad campaigns, and promotional planning for assigned projects and artists.
  • Lead in near and long-term creative planning to ensure a clear and consistent message for assigned projects while acting as a central point of contact and lead for all assigned projects. 
  • Work with all departments in meeting deadlines and keeping a creative thread running throughout the projects.
  • Develop and execute creative imaging for marketing campaigns in conjunction with A&R Leads. 
  • Select and approve the creative direction of marketing tools while also overseeing the timely production of commercial and promotional products.
