Regional Coordinator, UK

The Job

TuneCore is seeking a London-based Regional Coordinator to work across our local operations, reporting to the Head of TuneCore UK, Canada & Australia. This is a great opportunity for a driven, self-motivated individual to support the growth of a key TuneCore territory, at an exciting time for the business.

This person will be the main support to the Head of TuneCore UK, Canada and Australia, forming a nimble, proactive and ambitious team. They will be comfortable using an insights-led approach to allow us to reach ambitious growth targets for the UK, across client acquisition, brand awareness, artist support and Marketing. S/he will be comfortable working with Partners, running Artist + Marketing campaigns and also the TuneCore UK social media accounts – understanding voice and content creation, with a focus on brand guidelines and collaboration with TuneCore central. 

S/he must have strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and no fear rolling up his/her sleeves to get the job done. A passion for music and technology is a must, alongside an interest in the culture and movements around music and creators, particularly in the independent sector. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills are critical, as are strong relationship-building skills, with an ability to interact with people across all levels and cultures, internally and externally.


Tasks + Responsibilities

The tasks and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to

  • Managing, alongside the Head of territory, the local strategic growth plan for UK to meet local market needs, drive growth and increase market penetration

  • Help develop and implement local marketing campaigns and partnerships to accelerate client acquisition, build competitive advantage and grow brand awareness in the Region

  • Using a metrics-led approach, ensuring all activity is quantifiable

  • Research, analyse and identify local market trends and conduct local competitive analysis to improve TuneCore’s product offering, marketing initiatives and localisation strategy

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Central Team on localisation of artist support, brand partnerships, marketing programs, PR initiatives and product launches

  • Build strong relationships with artists, management teams and partners

  • Run the local social media channels for the UK, from ideation, posting, community management and communications

  • Run analyses and reporting across all activity, providing actionable insights into metrics, issues and opportunities

  • Build concise presentations that summarise your findings and lead to clear recommendations, share your work cross-functionally

  • Lead specific projects from project design, to operational execution, tracking, and scale-up

  • Partnering with Product, Marketing and Business Development teams to localise websites including language, pricing, payment and market specific product offerings to meet local market needs and increase conversion.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in Marketing within the music industry 

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about music and youth culture with a keen eye for emerging trends. 

  • Digitally savvy with a good understanding of Performance and Brand Marketing

  • Ability to translate data into presentable insights

The Job

Le/la Head of FR publishing est responsable de l’activité éditoriale de la France. Rattaché.e au General Manager – France vous êtes en charge de lancer puis développer et gérer l’activité en France en partenariat avec l’équipe produit et technique Sentric, et spécifiquement de: 

Déployer l’offre commerciale

  • Accompagner le déploiement du business model éditorial en France, en partenariat avec les équipes projet et Sentric groupe

TH – AS Senior A&R Manager

The Job

As A&R Manager, your focus is on intensively maintaining your existing contacts in the scene, identifying the key drivers of music trends and continuously optimizing the deal options for the Artists. You have a spirit of optimism, you will identify up and coming talent across all relevant channels. You will also conduct transparent and fair contract negotiations with artists and labels, which include increasing the value for both sides as the top priority. With your vision you will not only occupy a key position in Believe portfolio, but also play a crucial role in shaping the Thai Regional music landscape.

Utilising your network, market analysis, business and artist relations, you will be able to source and identify artists who would be suitable for Artist Services. Carrying out first discussions with the artists and their management, you will be able to identify their needs and share the perfect offer with your Local Head of Artist Services. You will be in charge in the contract negotiation and coordinate the transfer of the artists to our project management team.

Director, International Strategy & Operations

The Job

Reporting to the Vice President, International, this is a great opportunity for a highly driven, self- motivated individual to support the planning and delivery of global strategic initiatives, which result in scaling international growth and expansion for TuneCore. This role is ideal for someone looking to join a fast-paced, rapidly growing company, who can support leading TuneCore into its next phase of growth.

This person will act as the right-hand to the VP, International; supporting global strategy and planning but also operationalising the creation, communication, and execution of key initiatives in a scalable, measurable and impactful way. S/he will support all aspects of international market development – from initial research and analysis, through to entrance and expansion into high-opportunity markets – as well as help to develop a deep understanding of the voice of the customer.

S/he is data-driven with a proven track record of using an insights-led planning approach. They will be willing to experiment, take risks and move quickly. S/he must have strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to both lead and roll up his/her sleeves to get the job done. A passion for music and technology is a must, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills are critical, as are strong relationship-building skills, with an ability to interact with people across all levels and cultures – in addition to working with senior leadership, s/he will also work with our parent company, Believe SA.

Tasks + Responsibilities

The tasks and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to

  • Leading the development and execution of TuneCore’s international market expansion strategy

  • Establishing an insights-led approach with the International Team, ensuring that strategy and planning are roadmapped based on business / customer requirements and priorities

As the Business Development person for Believe in Japan, you will define and implement the sourcing and acquisitions strategy for labels & artists. Carrying out first discussions with labels and artists and their management, you will identify their needs and share the perfect offer with our Local Head of Label & Artist Solutions. You will take and lead the contract negotiation.

  • Carry out meetings with prospective clients to pitch our services and follow up through negotiations until signing, working with the local team.
  • Analyze and report progress, and seek constant improvements with the team.

3.     Identify Market Trends and market dynamics and report to management: 

  • Audit and identify emerging label & artists market trends by attending meetings, gigs, showcases, conferences, and other events to represent Believe and your key clients.
  • Build strong relationships with labels, artists, management, and the local industry (music lawyers etc.).
  • Inform internal team about market evolution.

4.     Alignment of clients and internal stakeholders:

  • Ensure streamlined communication with all stakeholders
  • Ensure the best transition with the team that will handle customer’s day-to-day relationship and support (especially account management team)

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we consider the following as critical skills:

  • Drive streams of an artist across his full catalogue, audio or video

The Job

As an A&R manager, part of our Artist services team, your mission is to source, attract and sign new partners (artists and labels) in a constantly mutating environment.

You will work within our Artist services team in charge of selling distribution & marketing partnerships to a network of indie artists with passion, innovation, care, and transparency.

 

Your duties will include but not limited to the following

  • Identify new talents and build a pipeline of new artists.
  • Pitch Believe AS services and build individual offers.
  • Lead meetings with artists & management, calculate budgets and advocate offers before head office, negotiate best conditions resulting in win-win deals.
  • Negotiate and signs deals with artists in collaboration with the Head of A&R.
  •  Build contracts, control signings & advance payments.
  • Monitor & update pipeline, analyse performances and provide reports.
  • Follow market trends, analyse and build competitive offers for our partners.

As a part of its growth strategy, Believe is looking to expand its acquired catalogs revenue, build the business to the next level and make a strong team of Catalog business for existing and future acquired catalogs. 

You shall be directly responsible for overseeing and supervising Catalog business activities and its teams to ensure that the business models are aligned with the company’s goals. 

You will be responsible for hiring, training and developing support, marketing etc., functions which are essential to run and scale the Catalog business and be responsible to create and manage the Catalog business P&L. 

You will have solid reporting to the Director – Artist Services & Label Catalog – India & South Asia. 

Responsibilities: 

– People: You will be tasked to build, manage and develop the best trained team of support /Content Acquisition team functions managers in the local music industry.  

2 – Strategy :You will be tasked to build the business, sales & marketing strategy: 

  • Build revenue optimization strategy – short, mid and long term (services, pricing, economics, communication, branding etc) for the entire catalog business. 
  • Build , manage and execute budgets and of the  whole & individual  acquired catalogs aligned with Group policy. 
  • Explore disruptive and new business opportunities.  
  • You will work closely with Local M&A team on identifying, building case studies for new potential premium catalogs. 
  • Build marketing/media-buy strategy to drive the market share/revenue across DSPs. 
  • Understand the new digital /non-digital monetisation, tools, landscape and market trends and apply the effective measures to create revenue optimisation opportunities. 

3 – Execution : You will be responsible to adapt and execute Believe’s global and India strategy in your market for catalog monetization. As such, you will have primary responsibility for business development & team management. 

  • Manage sales & marketing to budget for the label business (sourcing, qualification, sales and marketing) closely & efficiently. 
  • Organize & manage serve efforts closely and efficiently to best serve and develop new assets, artist collaboration with a view to enhance back-catalog value and growth.  
  • Coordinate with Finance/Legal teams to improve and adapt business operations. Works with Legal teams to identify and implement best business practices related to music copyright and work ahead to make sure company is fully organized to scale.   
  • Organize internal, external communication & branding to support business growth. 
  • Promoting or developing the Catalog Label brand and building awareness about it with Movie Producers and Media Groups and artist communities. 

4 – Measurement: You will be responsible to deploy local performance measurement in accordance with local and global guidelines for sales and marketing 

  • Set and drive OKRs for sales & marketing team in coordination with regional leaders. 
  • Develop, measure KPIs, Catalog acquisition ROI and report KPIs to drive the business and acquisition profitability.   
  • Define business plan, business rules and reviewing such plans/rules from time to time. 
  • Become an expert in your roster and the landscape of the genre. This includes their overall brand, past releases, marketing campaigns, social media presence, fanbase consumption habits, chart performance, and more. 
  • Analyze catalog marketing initiatives to evaluate successes and failures and continue to develop best practices to apply moving forward.

  • Accomplishes marketing and sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and counseling employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

Skills Required:  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Knowledge of Indian Film & Non-film Music Acquisition and Licensing  process. 
  • Knowledge of Key music IP Rights. 
  • Excellent understanding of music rights exploitation across Digital, Publishing, Performance, Sync business. 
  • Good analytical skills and  detail oriented. 
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level 
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Financial Acumen with prior experience of managing mid-large P&Ls will be an added advantage.
