Business Operations Analyst – Finance Operations

The Job

The Central Finance Operations team based in India is looking for a passionate Business Operations Analyst to join its growing team. This role will be part of the Finance Operations team responsible for managing invoicing, revenue assurance, collection monitoring, reconciliation, payments, financial risk tracking, and process optimization across multiple financial workstreams. The Data Analyst will play a key role in driving operational efficiency and business insights by conducting full lifecycle analysis on finance data (invoicing, collection, cash flow, AR/AP aging, revenue leakage, etc.).

They will also develop and maintain dashboards and monitoring tools to track key financial KPIs and provide actionable insights to senior management. This role is critical to supporting the accuracy, compliance, and performance of our financial processes, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Data Monitoring & Analysis

  • Perform regular data quality checks and audits on finance-related data (invoices, payments, collections, AR/AP, bank reconciliations) to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
  • Build tracking dashboards and controlling tools to monitor key financial KPIs across invoicing, collections, and payments.
  • Support the Finance Operations team by developing reports and analyses on invoice rejections, disputes, outstanding balances, and collection trends.
  • Automate routine data comparisons and validation checks (e.g. invoice vs. bank receipt reconciliation, revenue leakage tracking, payment aging reports).

Reporting & Dashboarding

  • Develop and implement dashboards and reporting tools for the Finance Operations team, enabling visibility into financial performance and operational KPIs.
  • Create Business Unit (BU) specific / visual dashboards to help BU Heads track invoicing, collection, and payment efficiency.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles by providing analysis on financial trends and exceptions (aging reports, bad debt provision, AR/AP trends, invoicing backlog, etc.).

Data Management & Process Improvement

  • Acquire, clean, and manage data from internal systems (ERP, bank systems, BI tools) and external sources as required.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in large, complex financial datasets.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs and define new process improvement opportunities based on data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with Finance Operations, Accounting, and Business Units to enhance data flows and improve reporting processes.
  • Help reduce manual workload and accelerate reporting cycles through automation and data visualization
  • Experience with API integration or scripting for automation is a plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Proven working experience (minimum 3 years) as a Data Analyst or Financial Data Specialist.
  • 3+ years preferred, or equivalent experience with strong portfolio of automation/data projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and data visualization.
  • Knowledge of finance processes such as invoicing, collection, reconciliation, revenue assurance, and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI is a must; familiarity with SQL or other data tools is a plus.
  • Previous experience in supporting change management and process optimization in a finance environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Curiosity and interest in using data to drive operational and financial excellence

Contexte 

Le Data Manager intègre le Data Office de Believe sur le périmètre Data Management.  

Il s’inscrit dans la démarche de Data At Scale pour renforcer la gouvernance, la qualité et la structuration des données à l’échelle du groupe, filiales incluses. 

Responsabilités  

Directement rattaché au Data Management Lead, le Data Manager contribue à l’organisation, la documentation et l’optimisation de la gestion des données.  

À ce titre, il assure :  

  • La supervision de la qualité et la fiabilité des données.  

  • La gestion du catalogage et de la traçabilité des données.  

  • La promotion des bonnes pratiques de modélisation et de gouvernance des données.  

  • L’animation de la communauté Data et la formation des utilisateurs. 

 

Missions  

En collaboration avec le Data Management Lead et les équipes Data, il a la charge de : 

Modélisation de données  

  • Participer à la conception de modèles de données conceptuels, logiques et physiques.  

  • Garantir la cohérence des modèles de données avec les besoins métiers et techniques. 

Data Translator & Collaboration  

  • Traduire les besoins métiers en spécifications fonctionnelles pour les équipes techniques.  

  • Faciliter la communication entre les équipes Data, Tech, Produit et Business. 

Data Quality  

  • Participer à la mise en œuvre des plans de qualité de données.  

  • Identifier, analyser et corriger les anomalies de données.  

  • Définir et suivre les KPIs de qualité des données. 

Catalogage et Lineage  

  • Alimenter et maintenir le catalogue de données (métadonnées, propriétaires, descriptions).  

  • Documenter les flux de données pour assurer la complète traçabilité (lineage). 

  • Prendre un rôle de référent sur l’outil Data Galaxy : 
    • Structurer l’usage de la plateforme en lien avec les équipes Data et Métier. 
    • Assurer la qualité et l’actualisation des métadonnées et des flux (lineage). 
    • Accompagner les utilisateurs dans l’adoption de l’outil et le respect des bonnes pratiques. 

Documentation & Animation  

  • Rédiger et maintenir la documentation des standards, modèles de données, processus et outils.  

  • Animer la communauté Data et organiser des ateliers de formation et de sensibilisation. 

 

Environnement Technique 

  • Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Databricks, Snowflake 

  • Langages :,SQL 

  • Cataloging/Lineage: Data Galaxy 

Qualifications

Qualifications & Expérience 

  • 2 à 3 ans d’expérience en Data Management, Data Stewardship ou Data Governance.  

  • Maîtrise des outils de catalogage de données.  

  • Maîtrise avancée du SQL.  

  • Bonne connaissance des fondamentaux de la modélisation de données.  

  • Expérience en projets de qualité de données est un plus.

Head of Data – Audience & Marketing Insights

The Job

Role definition: The Head of Data leads a team of business and data analysts and is responsible for overseeing the execution of Audience Development and Marketing analyses, while ensuring alignment with strategic goals and developing the team. The role sits within the Data Insights organization and is reporting into our Global Data Director. 

Core responsibilities:  

  • Oversee the execution of Artist and Audience Development & Marketing analysis roadmap for the Group, in line with both Data Insights and Marketing Services’ teams OKRS, and ensure timeliness, consistency & accuracy of the team’s output. This includes:  
  • Artist and Audience Development: Understanding the phenomena, consumption patterns and relevant signals related to streaming and audience data across DSPs, and how they impact artist development: virality, cross-platform conversion, discoverability, etc. 

  • Marketing: Understanding the impact of our different on-platform marketing levers (promotion activity, specific programs, etc.), to inform and support our Marketing and Product strategy, and drive value externalization for our artists and labels: effectiveness of campaigns, ROI, etc. 

  • Collaborate with Business, Marketing and Product teams to collect analysis needs and build and execute the relevant analytical plans  

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering department to ensure integration and maintenance of new data sources / data points, to support analysis & innovation 

  • Collaborate with Data Science department to conduct advanced statistical study, and support the implementation of new ML models with relevant data analysis  

  • Improve structure, processes and methodologies, and support and develop data analysts within the team 

Qualifications

  • Advanced analytical skills:  
  1. Technical and statistical proficiency: Savviness with big data, data science concepts: time series, correlation / attribution models, segmentation, etc. Expertise in data analysis & BI tools. (SQL, Snowflake, Power BI or equivalent) 
  2. Clarity and structure: Ability to navigate a complex and heterogeneous data ecosystem, while delivering simple and thorough messages to our stakeholders 

  • Savviness with key marketing impact concepts and KPIs: marketing funnel, ROI, Return on Ad Spend, etc.   

  • Savviness with DSP landscape, including DSP specificities, new features, etc. 

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities: Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, and team leadership, with experience in cross-functional collaboration and mentoring. 

  • Relevant industry and strategic experience: 5-7 years of experience on similar roles in data analysis  or a related field, with a track record of working on advanced statistics
