The Job

o   Answer customer emails and phone calls to help them distribute their music, and to use other TuneCore services

o   Resolve escalated issues and questions customers have about TuneCore products and services

o   Deliver bi-annual performance reviews to each member of your team; have regular coaching and 1-1 conversations

o   Work within TuneCore’s administrative system to update and correct account issues; cancel account content as needed

o   Product account management

o   Provide reporting on customer and product issues

o   Work with a team on special projects as needed

o   Report technical and communication issues to better service TuneCore artists

Sr. Software Engineer (REMOTE)

The Job

TuneCore Engineering develops web applications supporting our talented customers and internal operations.  As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work within a small engineering team building experiences that benefit our core business and end-users in the music space.  You will interact with internal stakeholders, product managers as part of requirement gathering and issue diagnosis.

We’re looking for an engineer to help drive the evolution of our web platform under the leadership of a technical lead.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in object oriented and functional software architecture, be an excellent communicator, and will work very well in a collaborative agile environment.

Product Manager – Distribution

The Job

The Product Manager (PM) – Supply Chain will lead the development of TuneCore products related to all aspects of the supply chain, i.e. DSP onboarding and management, distribution, user experience and product integration as well as managing technical requirements. S/he will participate in the analysis, inception and implementation of TuneCore supply chain-related product iteration to grow the product and meet the evolving needs of the customer.

As the PM for Supply Chain, you will manage the delivery of a set of DSP/store/distribution-related products and features on the roadmap from conception to launch. You will lead a team of Associate Product Managers and you will work with teams across the organization.

This role requires a focus on the user, a commitment to action-oriented analysis, and a thirst for continuous learning. The candidate must have the dual ability to be a strategic thinker and be hands-on in an evolving, entrepreneurial environment.

The tasks and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Product Management:

●      Drive product development, from conception to launch, of the products and product solutions associated with the TuneCore distribution platform — both consumer-facing features and back-end systems

●      Define, prioritize, and communicate short and long-term product goals

●      Develop an understanding of customers by assisting the Senior Product Manager and Product Director in conducting research, data analysis, customer interviews, and usability testing, as necessary

●      Partner with engineering, marketing, and customer operations and customer care teams to bring new products and features to market, including activities like launch messaging and customer support.

●      Identify and track essential qualitative and quantitative metrics for evaluating the impact of the product initiatives you lead, and for informing future decisions

●      Work collaboratively to ensure consistency across all TuneCore products

●      Write product requirements, develop user flows, and mock-ups based on stakeholder feedback.

●      Define the “What” and the “Why” and manage delivery. Be able to breakdown goals and strategies into actionable deliverables and milestones

●      Propose new features and products for approval by senior management, working cross-functionally to build a business case and define ROI

●      Manage and update product documentation such as PRDs, business requirements, use cases, user flows/stories, flows, and functional specs

●      Design and Track KPIs to measure outcomes of each initiative and outline actions based on KPIs

●      Support prioritization of feature backlog and support management of the development queue

●      Assist in determining the best technical implementation methods with the engineering team, work closely with QA on acceptance testing, and support product launches

●      Drive metrics-based optimizations to the product —striking the right balance between fixing bugs while enhancing and launching new features

Generalist

·       Update and ensure the accuracy of employee data in HRIS; a key project when joining will be to audit all current employee information, and update personnel files as needed

·       Manage Time & Attendance and Payroll Processing in ADP; bi-weekly pay schedule

·       Deliver monthly reporting on HR metrics

·       Deliver quarterly reporting on corporate social responsibility metrics

·       Facilitate bi-annual employee performance reviews

·       Partner with US L&D Specialist on learning and development opportunities for NBA team

·       Maintain compliance for federal, state, and local regulations – experience working under California employment law required

·       Drive HR initiatives and services effectively, while maintaining customer-centric approach and focus

·       Work with VP, HR, senior management and business stakeholders on staff management and Group HR initiatives; champion global Believe HR campaigns to local NBA team

·       Be the voice of the customer to HR, and the face of HR to the internal and external ‘customer’ – ensuring successful program and process development, and deployment with HR Services

Recruiting and Employer Branding

·       Partner with VP, HR in the US, and International teams in UK & Germany, to build Nuclear Blast America employer brand

·       Maintain NBA recruiting information in SmartRecruiters ATS

·       Support US Talent Acquisition team on open positions; coordinate and/or host interviews for NBA hiring panels; draft offer letters; manage new joiner on-boarding

·       Work with TuneCore/BMA HR & NBA leadership to maintain accurate hiring forecast

In-Office Experience & Office Management

·       Assist with office’s daily operations; partner with TuneCore & BMA Office Coordinator on employee experience initiatives

·       Assist with travel/events/training arrangements

·       Other ad hoc tasks assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in HR, in a generalist capacity, under California employment law
  • 1 year minimum, managing payroll processes
  • Strong attention to detail; strong organizational skills

Missions:

1/ Audience Development:

  • Strong focus on YouTube Channel Assessment

Publishing Support Specialist

The Job

Specific Duties:

●        Answer emails and phone calls to help clients distribute their music, submit songs for administration and manage their publish rights.

●        Educate and assist clients with song submissions ensuring accurate data and splits are submitted and validated.

●        Resolve issues and questions TuneCore Publishing clients have about TuneCore products and services.

●        Provide reporting on client and product issues.

●        Efficiently execute the flow of day-to-day operations, prioritize workload, and handle client tickets in a timely manner ensuring CSAT and SLA targets are maintained.

●        Respond to basic questions about copyright/IP from clients.

●        Provide publishing client account management; auditing song submissions and registrations ensuring clients are maximizing their catalogue value.

●        Support publishing client acquisition and upsell initiatives identifying leads for client and asset acquisition.

●        Assist with both one-to-one and one-to-many upsell functions either leading or supporting the events.

●        Providing support to copyright and income tracking teams to ensure clients are being accurately paid and submitting songs for administration.

●        In conjunction with AI software, listen, curate and tag incoming music submissions for TuneCore Sync service.

●        Work cross-functionally to resolve copyright and ownership disputes.

●        Contribute to a team environment that encourages accountability, high standards and optimization.

●        Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications

●       1+ years of prior experience working at a publishing company or collection society preferred but not desired.

●       1-2 years of general customer-facing experience in a technical or entertainment industry environment.

●       Experience working with creatives preferred.

 

 

●       BA/BS/JD preferred.

 

 

●       Excellent communications skills: written, verbal and interpersonal.
