The Job

Job Description

Using your network, market analysis, business and artist relations, you will be able to source and identify artists and labels from Baltics countries (Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia) who would require any of our Distribution services. Carrying out first discussions with the artists, labels and their management, you will be able to identify their needs and make the perfect offer to the artists or/and labels. You will participate in the contract negotiation and coordinate the transfer of the artists to our artist relations team.  

1/ Identify new and emerging artist and label leads at the earliest stage 

  • Audit and identify emerging Artists market trends 

  • Monitor believe analytics and public tool analytics for talent detection  

  • Attend meetings, gigs, showcases, conferences and other events to represent Believe. 

2/ Qualify Artists expectations, careers projects and releases plans 

  • Collect Artists & Labels needs and populate our CRM activity  

  • Manage and update our CRM system on a daily basis and collect all information 

  • Carry out meetings with prospective clients to pitch our services and follow up through to offer negotiations. 

  • Present deals to your local internal team and coordinate with Head of Distribution to validate deal offers. 

3/ Identify Market Trends and market dynamics and report to management  

  • Build strong relationships with artists, labels, management and the local industry 

  • Analyse the impact of spend and structure artist offers 

 

Qualifications

  • A solid network in the music industry

  • Demonstrable experience in the recorded music industry and negotiation. Experience in a curation and/or artist/management facing capacity preferred. 

  • Ability to be both creative and data driven. 

  • Artist focused and passionate about the Independent Music Industry with a good knowledge of the independent ecosystem and digital landscape. 

  • Proactive attitude to work to deadlines, meet targets and multitask in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong relationship building skills and team-oriented approach. 

  • Extremely digital savvy and quick to adopt trends. 

  • Available to work some evenings and to travel internationally as may be required.  

  • English : professional level

Label Manager – Romania

The Job

As a label manager you will lead a portfolio of strategic clients and define with your manager the best solutions to maximize client satisfaction and service execution.  

You will also contribute to new client acquisition by implementing our sales strategy.

With a perfect understanding of our products and clients needs, a solid sales strategy, and an in-depth understanding of the music market you will be able to achieve sales objectives and manage a portfolio of labels. You will directly report to the Head of Label Relations. 

Missions : 

1. Sales strategy and emerging labels and artists overseeing

  • Support and execute the sales strategy 
  • Lead complex sales discussions with an innovative approach 
  • Analyze and keep track of sales performance 

2. Execution of services and management of a portfolio of labels   

  • Manage a portfolio of artists and labels and identify customer satisfaction within agreed KPIs 
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration with the Editorial & Marketing Partnerships and the Video Services teams to optimize execution 
  • Escalate client feedback and contribute to overall improvement of services

Location: Bucharest only

Qualifications

Required Skills:  

  • Proven track record in proactive sales, negotiations and account management in digital companies
  • A solid network in the Romanian music industry with a first experience in  distribution is considered a plus
  • Passionate about technology, data and artists / label development 
  • Fluent Romanian & English mandatory (C1 to C2 level)
