You will directly report into Artist Distribution Relations – Senior Leader.

Your Role & Missions

Your role is to source, attract and sign new partners (artists or labels)

We expect you to be able to identify the best new leads and convert them to customers

You will contribute to new clients acquisition and implementation of the local sales strategy, designed with Business Development Leader, by :

  • Sourcing and building a pipe of new artists and/or labels,
  • Identify and focus on the best leads
  • Negotiating deals with such leads, in compliance with :
    • defined business rules
    • complexity of local market,
    • real needs from the lead
  • Adapting to service innovations and increasing complexity in deal structure
  • Monitoring your performance using tools and dashboards
  • Ensuring the best transition with the team that will handle customer’s day-to-day relationship and support (especially account management team)

Sr. Manager Sync & Licensing

The Job

  • Believe Sync is looking for a self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual based in Mumbai to source, negotiate and license sync placements for our frontline roster whilst simultaneously building Believe Sync’s overall presence in the Indian market.
  • As Sync Manager you will be responsible for sourcing, developing and maintaining relationships with clients. With an existing network of Film and Television contacts, you will also build and maintain relationships with clients in the advertising and video games industries. You will travel occasionally with the aim of expanding Believe’s presence across the territory.
  • A passion for and knowledge of a wide variety of music is essential, as is an existing network of clients and an ability to work autonomously.
  • Reporting to the Global Head of Sync, you will handle all day-to-day sync activity in India – including both creative and licensing work – whilst continuously seeking new business opportunities in the TV, film, advertising and video game industries.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing, developing and maintaining business relationships with clients in the TV, film, advertising and video game industries.
  • Procuring, contributing to and leading creative pitches.
  • Handling quotes, approvals and licensing for deals in India.
  • Designing and organizing appropriate marketing and promotional activity for Believe’s front-line roster including mail-outs, gigs and showcases.
  • Organizing and maintaining Believe’s online music catalog. Creating themed playlists, featuring artists and tracks, and tagging music.
  • Day-to-day administrative work including license tracking and financial reporting.
  • Attending gigs with clients and maintaining a good relationship with Believe’s A&R, digital marketing and in-house label departments across the world.

Qualifications

You should have:

  • Experience of working in sync – either at a label or publishing company, or through a music supervision role elsewhere.
  • An outstanding knowledge of, and passion for, independent music. A particular focus on European music would be preferable, but not essential.
  • A creative mind which is willing and able to answer music briefs openly and thoroughly. 
  • Excellent communication and networking skills – you must be confident meeting new people and seeking new business opportunities, as well as dealing with artists and managers on a day to day basis.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. You must be able to meet short and long term targets whilst maintaining a consistently high standard of work.

Video Manager (Artist Services)

The Job

As a Video Manager in the Believe Artist Services team, you will provide dedicated and expert support on all monetization and audience development aspects to do with video platforms, especially on YouTube. You will work closely with the Global Head of Video Managers (based in France) to support video growth for 3 priority countries: France, UK, Germany.

Thanks to a perfect understanding of our products and clients’ needs, a solid sales strategy, and an in-depth thinking of the music market, you will be able to build the video success of our artists.  

Missions: 

1. Analyse, optimize & implement high impact video monetization strategy 

  • Perform thorough artists’ asset and channel audits to identify opportunities for revenue improvement across video platforms with a focus on YouTube. 

  • Report, analyse and present campaign and overall performance of video to elaborate Business Reviews, using YouTube CMS and other internal or external tools. 

  • Work closely with AS Support and Artist Services team to analyze clients’ concerns and solve complex support topics relating to rights management, video delivery or content optimization, by troubleshooting and investigating client and product, prioritizing and escalating issue reports. 

  • Ensuring that all content that is ingested has relevant rights cleared, and we apply the monetization policy aligned with YouTube’s & In-house guidelines. 

  • Take responsibility for the asset & channel performance, growth & guidelines stability. 

2. Supporting Marketing Teams on Audience Development strategy on Video platforms 

  • Devise and implement audience development strategies from a technical/algorithm perspective on video platforms, to increase viewership & subscribers with a specific focus to reap the most effective commercial return for our artists. 

  • Acts in full coordination with Project Manager and Digital Marketing to provide video optimization and analysis to maximise watch time hours, platform engagement, audience growth, monetization growth, and community interaction, etc. 

  • Work closely with Marketing & Solutions, Editorial & Marketing Partnership and AS Support teams to ensure full productivity of the department and provide timely recommendations to improve opportunities  

3. Identify New Trends and Opportunities 

  • Research and present new trends in video; including topics, format, content rollout, and audience consumption behaviour amongst others. 

  • Educate local teams about newest video features, strategical and technical topics 

  • Work in close coordination with Global Head of Video Managers, Local Heads of Artist Services and A&R to identify and pitch potential artists 

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English language (writing and speaking) 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as YouTube Channel Manager / Creator Development 

  • YouTube certified; including deep understanding of YouTube ecosystem, having intimate best-in-class knowledge of Content ID, and history of producing deep dive reports using YouTube Analytics and YouTube CMS to produce actionable strategy 

  • A team player with a positive attitude, who can work collaboratively across offices 

  • A self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment and is highly organized

As the Office manager this position will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results.
