The Job
Reporting to our Sales Strategy and Operations Manager, and in dotted line to our Managing Director, your objective is to reinforce the company’s Analytics function by delivering complex data-driven insights to the leadership team to guide business decisions. You will also directly collaborate with the global team of Data Scientists and Business Intelligence experts, and act as a local owner of strategic initiatives around Data Analytics.
Hence, you will manage every step of the Analytics processes, including database building and maintenance, querying and pipelines creation, statistics computations with programming languages, and data visualization.
Also, you will use your passion and knowledge of statistics models to advise central team on relevant use cases for applying Machine Learning to the Music Market.
Occasionally, you will be supporting other departments in elaborating ad-hoc analysis and developing sales and operational tools to improve sales productivity and pursue operational excellence.
Responsibilities
As a Believe Data Analyst, you will be bearing the following responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and continuously improve databases incorporating company, market and industry data
- Elaborate and interrogate datasets using SQL, while questioning and improving data accuracy
- Develop multi-source data frameworks and ETL pipelines to enrich data and automate processes
- Run complex computations, perform statistical analysis and use results to improve models
- Create reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Propose relevant use cases to help Central Functions deploy Machine Learning models tailored to our business objectives
- Collaborate with other departments to map business requirements and identify areas for data-driven improvements
- Develop business tools using multiple solutions (i.e. VBA, Access, Power Apps)
Qualifications
You are an ideal candidate if you fulfill the following requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 1-2 year working experience in the field of data science, data engineering or data analytics, possibly for data consultancy or tech companies
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and querying languages (SQL)
- Strong coding knowledge and mastery of at least one programming language (Python, R, JavaScript)
- Strong knowledge of at least one BI & Data Visualization tool (Power Bi, Tableau, Microstrategy, Qlik)
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousing platforms will be considered a strong asset
- Ability to liaise both with technical/product team and business peers
- Good communication skills as essential lever to allow oneself and others to understand information accurately and quickly
- Collaboration skills to successfully work toward realizing the common goal with other teams
- Curiosity & creativity are essential in your role to generate new insights that are always timely, accurate and relevant to the business
- You are passionate about the music industry and have ideally proven 1-2 year work experience in the field
