We\u2019re looking for a\u00a0Fullstack React Native Developer to help build our next-generation mobile experience \u2014 someone equally comfortable shipping polished React Native features and building the Rails APIs that power them.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a senior-level role: you\u2019ll own significant technical scope, set direction on mobile architecture and practices, and mentor other engineers, while staying hands-on in the codebase.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What You\u2019ll Do<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><p>Design, build, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android from a single codebase<\/p><\/li><li><p>Build and maintain the Rails API endpoints that power the mobile app \u2014 request\/response contracts, background jobs, and data models the client depends on<\/p><\/li><li><p>Work closely with product, design, and backend engineers to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, reusable code across the full stack<\/p><\/li><li><p>Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs; optimize app performance, responsiveness, and stability<\/p><\/li><li><p>Write unit and integration tests, and help shape our mobile testing strategy as we build out React Native end-to-end coverage<\/p><\/li><li><p>Debug and resolve platform-specific issues, including native modules and bridging<\/p><\/li><li><p>Manage app store submissions and release processes for both the App Store and Google Play<\/p><\/li><li><p>Stay current with the React Native ecosystem and mobile best practices, and bring relevant updates back to the team<\/p><\/li><li><p>Uphold TuneCore\u2019s core mission, vision, and values in the code you ship and the decisions you make<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leadership Expectations<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><p>Provide technical leadership on mobile architecture decisions, balancing durability and scalability against delivery speed<\/p><\/li><li><p>Set and evolve coding standards and best practices for the mobile codebase<\/p><\/li><li><p>Give effective, constructive code review feedback to other engineers<\/p><\/li><li><p>Mentor and guide engineers on the team in both technical growth and career development<\/p><\/li><li><p>Research and recommend new tools and technologies where they\u2019d meaningfully improve the team\u2019s output<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div><div  class=\"offer-block block-qualification\">\r\n    <div class=\"content\">\r\n        <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><p>Skills and Attributes<\/p><\/li><li><p>6+ years of experience writing production code, including 3+ years building and shipping mobile applications<\/p><\/li><li><p>Strong proficiency in React \/ React Native, and in JavaScript\/TypeScript<\/p><\/li><li><p>Demonstrated fluency with Ruby on Rails in production \u2014 building and maintaining API-only Rails services, not just \u201ca web framework of some kind\u201d<\/p><\/li><li><p>Familiarity with state management approaches (we currently use React Query and Context API)<\/p><\/li><li><p>Experience with Git, CI\/CD pipelines, and mobile release workflows<\/p><\/li><li><p>Understanding of mobile UI\/UX principles and platform guidelines (Apple HIG, Material Design)<\/p><\/li><li><p>Experience with REST APIs and async data handling; GraphQL a plus<\/p><\/li><li><p>Experience with native iOS (Swift\/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin\/Java) a plus, but not required<\/p><\/li><li><p>Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div><div  class=\"offer-block block-additional-information\">\r\n    <div class=\"content\">\r\n        <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Additional<\/strong> Information<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Salary Transparency<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TuneCore is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$135,000. The final salary offer will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate\u2019s relevant experience, specialized skills, internal equity, and specific work location. This range represents our good faith estimate at the time of posting.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where you&#8217;ll be\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This role will be remote. TuneCore operates on a hybrid model giving our teams flexibility and choice in how they work.
