The<\/strong> Job<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n

As a Store Ingestion Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the ingestion, validation, reconciliation, and posting of financial and royalty data received from digital service providers (DSPs) and other delivery channels. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of raw financial files, supporting timely royalty postings, resolving data discrepancies, and maintaining data integrity throughout the ingestion process.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

You will work closely with Finance, Accounting, BI, Tech\/Data teams, DSPs, and other internal and external stakeholders in an international environment to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial and royalty data.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

You will be reporting to the Head of Customer Finance and Legal Operations\u00a0 based in Mumbai and will work closely with the broader Revenue Invoicing, Ingestion and Customer Finance teams in an international environment.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  • Receive and process raw financial and royalty files from various DSPs and delivery channels through email, SFTP\/FTP, and backend portals, across formats including Excel, PDF, and TXT.<\/p><\/li>

  • Review incoming raw files for completeness and accuracy, identifying incorrect templates, missing information, data inconsistencies, and discrepancies between summary and detailed data.<\/p><\/li>

  • Maintain accurate records of raw files by ensuring files are stored in designated S3 buckets in accordance with internal processes.<\/p><\/li>

  • Manage the ingestion and posting of royalty and financial reports, including the upload of FX rate files and success files through FileZilla.<\/p><\/li>

  • Monitor ingestion processes and identify errors or issues, coordinating with relevant Tech, BI, Data, and Finance teams to ensure timely resolution.<\/p><\/li>

  • Review ingested reports for accuracy and perform reconciliation of financial data, including cross-checking AR invoices and payments.<\/p><\/li>

  • Export data to Retool and apply relevant foreign exchange rates as part of the ingestion and posting process.<\/p><\/li>

  • Perform appropriate validation and second-level reviews before obtaining Finance approvals and facilitating data posting.<\/p><\/li>

  • Manage regular SR\/SIP report postings, ensuring postings are completed accurately and within defined timelines.<\/p><\/li>

  • Coordinate with DSPs to obtain corrected or updated raw files where required and follow up on data discrepancies until resolution.<\/p><\/li>

  • Work closely with Tech and Data teams during posting activities to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely completion.<\/p><\/li>

  • Review postings against invoices and receipts created in Oracle and investigate discrepancies and variances.<\/p><\/li>

  • Perform detailed analysis of complex or exceptional cases and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve differences.<\/p><\/li>

  • Communicate changes in split percentages or other relevant business inputs in advance to ensure appropriate accounting adjustments.<\/p><\/li>

  • Support monthly financial closing activities by ensuring ingestion, posting, reconciliation, and supporting financial data are complete and accurate.<\/p><\/li>

  • Prepare, maintain, and export relevant reports and documentation for financial reporting, audit, and record-keeping purposes.<\/p><\/li>

  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, BI, Tech\/Data, and other internal stakeholders to resolve data, posting, reconciliation, and accounting-related queries.<\/p><\/li>

  • Identify recurring data and process issues and contribute to improvements in data quality, automation, and operational efficiency.<\/p><\/li>

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, procedures, data management standards, and applicable financial policies throughout the ingestion and posting processes.<\/p><\/li>

  • Prioritize daily activities effectively and manage multiple ingestion, reconciliation, and posting activities within defined timelines.<\/p><\/li>

  • Work closely with the Royalty Ingestion Lead\u00a0 and other revenue and customer finance specialists to ensure consistent and efficient execution of store ingestion activities.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>

    Qualifications<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance operations, financial data processing, revenue operations, royalty operations, or related finance processes, preferably in an international environment.<\/p><\/li>

    • Strong understanding of financial data processing, reconciliation, revenue recognition, and financial operations.<\/p><\/li>

    • Experience working with digital platforms, marketplaces, DSPs, or media companies is a plus; experience in the music industry or royalty operations is a strong advantage.<\/p><\/li>

    • Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and ensure data accuracy.<\/p><\/li>

    • Experience working with large volumes of financial data and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.<\/p><\/li>

    • Proficiency in Excel\/Google Sheet and experience working with financial or data management tools; knowledge of SQL, Retool, FileZilla, and Amazon S3 is an advantage.<\/p><\/li>

    • Experience with ERP, accounting, reporting, or financial systems such as Oracle is an advantage.<\/p><\/li>

    • Ability to independently manage operational activities, prioritize tasks, and follow through on issues until resolution.<\/p><\/li>

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Finance, Tech\/Data, BI, DSPs, and other stakeholders.<\/p><\/li>

    • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are a plus.<\/p><\/li>

    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, and international environment.<\/p><\/li>

    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership.<\/p><\/li>

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet operational deadlines while maintaining data quality.<\/p><\/li>

    • Demonstrated interest in process improvement, automation, data quality, and the optimization of finance operations.<\/p><\/li>

    • Knowledge of royalty management, contract management, or digital music distribution is a plus.<\/p><\/li>

    • Good understanding of the digital music ecosystem and the role of DSPs is preferred.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>
