The<\/strong> Job<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Based in Mumbai, the GL Accountant will support the general ledger accounting and financial closing activities of French entities, working closely with the France accounting team to ensure accurate accounting records and timely reporting.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and supported by appropriate documentation.<\/li>
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other closing adjustments.<\/li>
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and follow up on outstanding items.<\/li>
  • Carry out month-end and year-end closing activities within agreed deadlines.<\/li>
  • Maintain fixed asset records and prepare related accounting entries.<\/li>
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and coordinate with the relevant teams to resolve differences.<\/li>
  • Review account movements and provide explanations for significant variances.<\/li>
  • Prepare reporting schedules and supporting documentation for the France accounting team.<\/li>
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested reconciliations and documentation.<\/li>
  • Apply accounting policies and internal controls, escalating issues when necessary.<\/li>
  • Document accounting procedures and support knowledge transfer between the France and Mumbai teams.<\/li>
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls and automate recurring tasks.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
