The<\/strong> Job<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Reports to: <\/strong>Head of Holding Accounting<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Direct Reports:<\/strong> none<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Primary purpose:<\/strong> responsible for managing financial records and ensuring accuracy and
\nintegrity of financial data and compliance with IFRS and accounting standards of the French
\nand Luxembourg companies. It involves managing and documenting accounting and
\nfinancial transactions, preparing tax returns, participating to closings and reconciling
\naccounts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Key responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nGeneral Ledger Accounting on the scope of accounts:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Prepare & record the journal vouchers.
\n\u2022 Pass adjustment entries for rectification, reallocation, and adjustments.
\n\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It can include among others:<\/strong>
\nFixed Assets:<\/strong>
\n\u25aa Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
\n\u25aa Record asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
\n\u25aa Ensure compliance with capitalization rules and company policies.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Interco transactions:<\/strong>
\n\u25aa Prepare interco invoices.
\n\u25aa Book interco transactions.
\n\u25aa Perform reconciliation of balances.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Bank accounts:<\/strong>
\n\u25aa Make and record bank payments.
\n\u25aa Execute bank reconciliations for all accounts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Monthly and yearly closing:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Prepare and pass the monthly and annual closing entries.
\n\u2022 Review general ledger balances for completeness and correctness.
\n\u2022 Review monthly Trial Balance with supporting and process documentation.
\n\u2022 Interact with auditors.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Reconciliation and control of accounts:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Perform monthly reconciliations and controls for all balance sheet accounts.
\n\u2022 Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution.
\n\u2022 Maintain reconciliation schedules and audit documentation.
\n\u2022 Reconcile, analyse and justify P&L accounts in scope.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Compliance:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Prepare financial statements as per local GAAP.
\n\u2022 Ensure fiscal compliance on VAT and other taxes.
\n\u2022 Assist in handling statutory\/tax\/transfer pricing audits.
\n\u2022 Prepare and submit responses to various departmental requests.
\n\u2022 Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and accounting guidelines.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Other Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Contribute to process improvements within the Finance department.
\n\u2022 Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as required by management.
\nEducation\/qualification:
\n\u2022 Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance or business administration.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of financial regulations and general tax compliance principles.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of IFRS.
\n\u2022 Advanced Microsoft Excel skill.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Professional skills\/experience:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Proven experience as an overall accountant, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant
\nexperience, preferably in a large international, commercial group, or in a big four.
\n\u2022 Experience working for an international organisation and on a multi country scope.
\n\u2022 Proficient in the use of an ERP system.
\n\u2022 Fluency in English; French language is good to have not a must<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\n\u2022 Attention to detail and accuracy in keeping and reconciling accounts
\n\u2022 Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
\n\u2022 Good organisational and time management skills.
\n\u2022 Adaptable to a dynamic environment and changing work mix<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u2022 Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
\n\u2022 Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload efficiently
\n\u2022 Ability to work with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
\n\u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and
\nexternal stakeholders.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
