The Job

Utilising your network, market analysis, business, label, and artist relations, you will be able to source and identify labels & artists. As the Business Development person for Believe in Japan, you will define and implement the sourcing and acquisitions strategy for labels & artists. Carrying out first discussions with labels and artists and their management, you will identify their needs and share the perfect offer with our Local Head of Label & Artist Solutions. You will take and lead the contract negotiation.

Responsibilities:  

1.     Develop your Music Industry Network and Identify key labels & artists:

  • Contribute to company growth by sourcing label & artist leads in the Japan market from all types and levels by utilizing your network.
  • Support the improvement of Japan’s business strategy and execution with Head of Label and Artist Solutions (LAS).
  • Develop localized key sales tools to enable Sales team to approach prospect businesses.

2.     Qualify label & artist potential, tailor offer to prospects and close deals:

  • Assess label & artists potential, estimate deal value, and collect information to manage the sales pipeline in compliance with defined business rules.
  • Build knowledge of company’s different types of deals to cater to label & artist needs
  • Manage and update company’s CRM system daily. 
  • Present opportunities to your local teams and coordinate with Head of LAS to validate deal offers.
  • Carry out meetings with prospective clients to pitch our services and follow up through negotiations until signing, working with the local team.
  • Analyze and report progress, and seek constant improvements with the team.

3.     Identify Market Trends and market dynamics and report to management: 

  • Audit and identify emerging label & artists market trends by attending meetings, gigs, showcases, conferences, and other events to represent Believe and your key clients.
  • Build strong relationships with labels, artists, management, and the local industry (music lawyers etc.).
  • Inform internal team about market evolution.

4.     Alignment of clients and internal stakeholders:

  • Ensure streamlined communication with all stakeholders
  • Ensure the best transition with the team that will handle customer’s day-to-day relationship and support (especially account management team)

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we consider the following as critical skills:

  • Results driven; Target oriented
  • More than 5 years of experience in a music industry or similar role in a record label, distributor, fan & audience development, artist management, entertainment IP management
  • Proven track record in sales, closing deals in a fast-growing company (technology, services, media, entertainment)
  • Excellent command / highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Ability to quickly build and develop a rapport through friendliness, positive attitude and listening skills

Contrôleur de Gestion Local France – Stage (F/H/NB)

Rattaché au pôle Contrôle de gestion FP&A local France, les missions du poste sont :

Product Manager (H/F)

The Job

En tant que Product Manager, vous intégrerez l’équipe produit Customer Signing & Renewal de Believe.

Le service est responsable, pour l’ensemble des entités du Groupe, des produits liés à la réalisation des contrats commerciaux ainsi que de la capture des données contractuelles clients dans notre ERP.

 

Sous la responsabilité du Senior Product Manager, vos rôles et missions au quotidien seront notamment :

  • Recueillir, analyser et prioriser les besoins fonctionnels de nos clients internes par rapport à notre scope produit

  • Définition collaborative de la roadmap avec les équipes business, produit & tech afin de définir une roadmap commune et cohérente avec les enjeux business de Believe.

  • Être garant de bonne intégration avec les autres Produits du Groupe, via la mise en œuvre, évolution ou maintenance d’ API.

  • Proposer et mettre en œuvre les pistes d’amélioration pro-active des process (parcours) métiers & des produits liés à la Customer Signing & Renewal, afin de protéger Believe de tout risque légal ou opérationnel

  • Participer au Go To Market des produits dont vous avez la charge ainsi qu’à la formation régulière des utilisateurs, et la mise en place / maintenance de la documentation nécessaire (Knowledge base, user guide…)

Group Financial Controller (H/F)

The Job

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB 

Within the Controlling department, you will join the Group Controlling team. Reporting to the Head of Group Controlling, you will work in a team of 5 people in a cross-functional position, giving you a global view of the Group’s activities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

The Group Controller’s main tasks will be to:

Budget & Business Plan

  • Support Budget revision and reforecast process with models and analysis required.
  • Participate in Business Plan updates (Revenue, Margin, EBITDA, Cash-flow) collaborating with various departments (Controlling Business, M&A, Treasury and Consolidation teams)

Monthly Closing

  • Ensure consistency of data reported by Controlling Business teams.

TuneCore Services – Content Quality Administrator

The Job

As part of its Content Operations business, Believe’s TuneCore Service is currently looking for a Content Quality Administrator of TuneCore in Mumbai, India. Working within our international Content team, the candidate will perform the following tasks, both internationally and for the local market, specifically focusing on the music content of TuneCore which includes:

  • Responsible for validating and processing all releases within the specified timeline as per the stores’ guidelines, ensuring that all commercial priority content is processed.
  • Knowledge of song metadata essential details like genre, artists, cover art, lyrics & album information.
  • Implement quality checks for all ticket responses (emails and replies) to TuneCore artists using Zendesk software.

Contract Management – Senior Administrator

The Job

As part of the Contract and Account Management team, Believe is currently looking for a Contract Management – Senior Administrator based in India. Working within our international CAM team based in Luxembourg , the candidate will perform the following tasks in accordance with the established work rules and procedures for all Business Units which includes: 

  • Reviewing, validating, and electronically signing contracts, contractual annexes and amendments for LAS and Artist Services.
  • Checking producer data and legal entities in contracts as per KYC procedures.
  • Checking contractual terms and related approvals.
  • Act as business partner to support Sales teams in the contractual workflow (CLM and Ticketing Support).
  • Analysis and processing of contractual deviations from standard clauses.
  • First-level analysis of contract operability to ensure proper execution of the contractual commitments.
  • Manage the contractual workarounds by respecting SLA’s and committing to improve KPI’s and Signature lead times.
  • Management of contractual data in our back-office tools (Account settings, Royalty tool settings in “Details”).
  • Processing of ad-hoc requests to assist sales/legal teams (contract migration, amendment campaigns/correction of contractual data, onboardings etc.).

    Customer Reporting Specialist

    The Job

    Believe is looking to hire a Customer Reporting Specialist team member to deal with Customer reporting to both Believe’s artists and labels in LAS (Labels and Artist’s solutions). The position will be based in the Mumbai office and is part of the Finance Operations Department, reporting to the Finance Operations Senior Leader in Believe Mumbai office and working closely with customer reporting team based in France office. The member would work with the objective of operating payments to all labels and artists worldwide, with high quality of service.
     

    The candidate would be expected to perform the Level 2 support in which the daily missions would include:
     

    • Management of the entry, monitoring, and control of the royalty amounts of advances contractually offered to our producers (Labels and artists) in the tools.
    • Handling complaints and/or questions from our clients about their royalty statements (royalties and advances)
    • Coordinate and Make sure to identify the source of problems with the help of other departments (Contracts, Supply Chain, Tech, Accounting, Management Control)
    • Able to do detailed analysis of royalty reports using tools such as CSV, Excel, EM Editor to calculate and make adjustments if and wherever necessary.
    • Daily assisting the Level 1 support team in English Language (French will be a Plus), in compliance with the defined SLAs by central customer reporting team.
    • In charge of communicating the statuses to the label managers or the level 1 support team so that they can respond to customers.
    • Participate in the contribution of the production of monthly KPIs and in the deployment and evolution of the internal systems for finance operations.

    Qualifications

    The candidate is expected to have the below qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience preferably in finance operations domain
    • Previous experience in a management consulting firm or any project department within a Tech or Media company would be preferred.  
    • Previous experience in Change management (act a facilitator on a day-to-day basis)  
    • Strong proven skills on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.

    Within the Label and Artists Solutions team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of strategic clients and define with your manager the best solutions to maximize client satisfactions and services execution.  As the clients’ point of contact, you will be responsible for:

    • Proven track record in sales and effective negotiation skills
