For more than three years, I’ve been working as a Talent Acquisition Manager at Believe, covering an international scope that includes Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Turkey, and Italy. These regions may look very different on paper, but they all share a common reality: vibrant music ecosystems in motion, artists seeking independence, and local talent eager to elevate their scenes.

The Believe model

What did I discover when I joined Believe? Just how much the company’s international dimension is an operational asset! It’s not just about having a logo on a map. It’s about real conversations across teams — refining job descriptions together, understanding what makes an Artist Relations Manager succeed in Mexico, or onboarding a Label Manager in Egypt.

This model allows me to support managers on the ground in a much more impactful way. I’m not bringing them a one-size-fits-all “HR best practice” — I’m sharing insights from other markets, tested, adapted, and open to improvement. And that creates real connection: between us, our talent, and our artists.

Between shared frameworks and local realities: Recruitment that reflects us

It’s also about finding the right balance—defining a common framework while allowing each market the freedom to make it their own. The goal is not to impose a process but to create a method and reference points that adapt to local realities. I often support managers who are hiring for the first time. I’m here to guide them, help structure their approach, and ensure they feel confident in their role. We aim for consistency, but never at the expense of context or culture.

Each country, each region, each department has its own pace, challenges, and codes. What matters to me is that managers have the right tools, feel supported, and that we move forward together toward a recruitment approach that truly reflects who we are. Getting honest feedback on what works and what we’d do differently—to me, that’s real collective intelligence.

Identifying talents that resonate with our mission

Hiring in the music industry isn’t just about skills. It’s also about intuition, sensitivity, and an understanding of what Believe stands for in each local scene.

And this model — with its constant flow of ideas and feedback between regions — has helped me better understand how to read candidates. I can spot the qualities that truly align with our culture and contribute to its evolution, as well as the dynamics that make a difference.

Because at Believe, it’s not about copying and pasting career paths. It’s about creating the right environment for every talent to unlock their full potential.
